About Education at The Bray

Since 1951, Education has been a facet of The Bray’s identity, shifting and growing while reflecting the larger ceramics community and society as a whole.

In 2017, a new education facility was built to maximize flexibility in programming. In late 2021, a new programming structure was designed with built-in flexibility to allow for continuous assessment and reimagining of our educational curriculum, class formats, and instructional methods.

After prolonged closure due to the global pandemic, we are proud to relaunch Education and Research at The Bray with an eye toward innovation and discovery, as we continue to learn and grow alongside our students.  Discover our core educational programming below!

Meet Our Teachers

The Bray is home to artists from around the world with a vast range of experiences, diverse aesthetic approaches, cultures, and perspectives. Our teacher pool fluctuates to provide variety to our students and is made up of our Resident Artists, staff members, and local Helena area professional artists.  Learn more about our current teachers!
